What Does Morgellons Disease Look Like?

Unfortunately, Morgellons Disease is so misunderstood that many doctors misdiagnose it as a form of mental illness, specifically Delusional Parasitosis.  The problem with this diagnosis is it ignores the horrifying physical presence of Morgellons Disease.  While it is true that scratching oneself incessantly could produce skin problems, they are no where near the level of the lesions produced from Morgellons Disease.  The best way to understand why this is the case is through visual evaluation.  This article will evaluate common pictures of Morgellons Disease in hopes of educating the public that these conditions are not the same.

The first set of Morgellons Disease pictures to be evaluated comes from MorgellonsUSA.com.  The photos found on this site are microscopic in nature.  These pictures are extremely alarming.  When one looks at them they can see particles of skin and a cluster of something else.  These clusters are string-like and consist of different colors: white, purple, blue, pink and red.  No amount of scratching oneself can produce lesions with actual clusters attached to them.

The next Morgellons Disease picture focused on in this article comes from Rense.com.  This is just one Morgellons Disease picture, which shows a topical view of skin inflicted with Morgellons Disease lesions.  In this picture the skin has an appearance similar to that of skin that has been badly burned.  The skin is full of scars, bruises, pustules,  inflamed areas and what is the most characteristic of Morgellons Disease, strange ‘fibrous’ strings throughout.  From this viewpoint these fibers, which are reddish in color, give the skin a cracked appearance.  Truly, this particular photo in and of itself paints a poignant picture of Morgellons disease due to its graphic nature.

The last set of Morgellons Disease pictures to be studied comes from Cbs11tv.com.  These pictures show various body parts affected by Morgellons Disease lesions.  Containing topical views that are farther away than the view of the Morgellons Disease picture featured on Rense.com, the stereotypical Morgellons Disease fibers are not obvious.  This does not mean the pictures are any less effective in proving how real Morgellons Disease is.  In fact, unlike the other Morgellons Disease pictures discussed in this article, the pictures in this site show just how vast Morgellons Disease can be.  These pictures feature whole arms and legs covered with dozens and dozens of blisters.  The blisters are big, (appearing to be about an inch in circumference), and dark in color.

In conclusion, by taking a look at a Morgellons Disease picture, one can see with their own eyes that the condition has very real physical symptoms.  Indeed, Morgellons Disease pictures might be the only true way the average person can develop more compassion for Morgellons Disease sufferers.  This is why it is very important that the Morgellons Disease community continue to take pictures whenever possible of their lesions and post them on a Web site or send them away for medical research.  Without them the misconception that Morgellons Disease is simply in the head will continue among the general public.
