What is Skin Parasites Disease?

When it comes to the internal or external world of one’s body cells, natural defenses are set up to prevent unwelcome organisms.  Sometimes these defenses do not work and organisms known as parasites make the body their new home.  One of the most common areas that become affected by these parasites is the skin.  When this happens the skin becomes afflicted with what is known as skin parasites disease, a condition causing a host of symptoms that negatively affect the health of the skin.  This article will examine three of the most typical skin parasites disease: Lyme Disease, Scabies and Morgellons Disease.

Lyme Disease, (also known as borreliosis), is a skin parasites disease caused by bacteria transferred through the bite of the black-legged tick.  The early symptoms of Lyme Disease include rashes, (though some victims do not get rashes), and flu-like symptoms.  If Lyme Disease is not treated, it can adversely affect the joints, heart and nervous system.  The most deadly complication of Lyme Disease could be heart failure, which is why it is very important if one suspects they have Lyme Disease they go to a doctor as soon as possible.  Fortunately, modern medicine has a good handle on Lyme Disease as it can be treated with antibiotics or intravenous drugs, (which is what is used to treat later forms of the illness).  Pain medication may also be prescribed to help relieve a victim’s aching joints.

The next most typical skin parasites disease is Scabies.  The mite Sarcoptes Scabiei is what is responsible for Scabies.  The symptoms at the onset of Scabies include small papule rashes that are extremely itchy.  Scratching these rashes may result in an infection, which is where the seriousness lies in Scabies.  In fact, when Scabies gets to this level, (often the case with those who have suppressed immune symptoms), it is known as Norwegian Scabies.  Modern medicine can cure both of these forms scabies with antibiotics and other types of drugs, such as Ivermectin, (which is often used for Norwegian Scabies).

The last most typical skin parasites disease to be discussed is Morgellons Disease.  This condition is the most unique of the above-mentioned skin parasites diseases because most doctors have yet to recognize it is even a legitimate disease.  The symptoms of Morgellons Disease include perpetual sensations that bugs are crawling on the body, skin rashes containing unusual fibers, joint and muscle pain and mental confusion.  Why does the perception that Morgellons Disease is not really a skin parasites disease exist if there are a myriad of physical symptoms?  It is because it is only a theory that parasites are involved in Morgellons Disease; nobody really knows.  Even the strange fibers produced from Morgellons Disease lesions do not answer anyone’s question… in fact, they may even make matters worse since doctors think they are simply clothing material.  Due to all of the mystery surrounding Morgellons Disease at the moment no effective treatment options exist.  Morgellons Disease sufferers must experiment from remedy to remedy until they find what works for their skin.

In conclusion, Lyme Disease, Scabies and Morgellons Disease are three of the most typical skin parasites diseases.  Lyme Disease and Scabies, (both of which have cures), are medically accepted to be real skin parasites disease, while Morgellons Disease is still thought to be psychological.  Perhaps through more time and lobbying from Morgellons Disease sufferers and their sympathizers, it can also become a condition that not only is established to be real but also will be offered a cure.
