What is Characteristic of Morgellons Skin?
Healthy skin is a blessing that is often overlooked in a society that links the quality of life by what is in one’s bank account. Healthy skin may not be able to purchase a mansion or a Mercedes, but without it life can be miserable. This is the case with Morgellons Disease sufferers who do not have the most basic of luxuries typical to most people: normal skin. This article will examine some of the most common problems present with Morgellons skin.
The first problem evident in Morgellons skin are unusual sensations. The most popular sensation typical to Morgellons skin is that of bugs crawling around. Other sensations include stinging or itching. Unfortunately, when Morgellons skin is examined under a microscope no real insects or parasites are found, thus eliminating the possibility that they are causing the sensation, at least to the mind of Morgellons unbelievers. Consequently, many think that the sensations are psychosomatic.
However, one problem common in Morgellons skin that cannot be so easily dismissed are fibers that are produced within the lesions. While it is not known or at least accepted that these fibers are of parasitic origin, they are still very strange. How often does normal skin or even skin affected by some of the worst skin conditions in existence produce such an unusual substance? These threads, which come in varying sizes, shapes and colors aren’t the natural byproducts of the body that doctors would be used to seeing. Their presence alone should persuade the medical community to take Morgellons Disease more seriously.
In conclusion, Morgellons skin possesses striking characteristics including the psychological element of unusual sensations, the creation of fibrous substances and severe skin irritation. Indeed, being inflicted with Morgellons skin is truly not what one would want to deal with. Not only does Morgellons skin ruins the aesthetic value of one’s appearance, but it also keeps the Morgellons sufferer in a constant state of pain and discomfort. However, one thing can be certain when thinking about Morgellons skin: it offers very real, very visible problems to the medical community. Denying the presence of Morgellons skin is doing something that the medical community is supposed to strive not to do; keeping individuals from achieving the maximum level of health possible in this life. Morgellons skin in and of itself should be enough proof that something is really wrong with individuals who claim to have Morgellons Disease. Truly, if the doctor or medical researcher dismissing Morgellons Disease woke up one morning and discovered that they now have Morgellons skin, attitudes would change when it comes to evaluating whether or not Morgellons Disease is a real condition.
